Mountains

Resting while enjoying the view.....

Just a pretty picture....thought I would share!! I stopped to take this picture while climbing up a really steep part!!! David thought I was crazy.

This is where those pictures of the boys "resting" were taken and when their daddy was the most nervous:) haha Look at those stairs we had to climb!!!!

These stairs were so small and close together, it was really hard to walk down...but the boys did great:)

Allison and Ellie all bundled up and ready for our campfire.

Parker was ready to make smores.......

David roasting his 1st marshmallow.

Parker's favorite part of the entire weekend.....air hockey!!!

I have been so far behind on posting....I apologize!! We have been crazy busy at the Harrigan household:) I did want to share about our weekend at Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Mtn.
We went with Allison and her family and David's mom to a mtn house for the weekend. It was a beautiful house and we saw some breathtaking views. On saturday David and I decided to take the boys for a climb on Chimney Rock Mtn. The day started off a little clowdy but it turned out the be a pretty day!! The boys did great, I have to say that their daddy was more afraid of height then they were.....you really do learn new things about the ones you love everyday:) haha
Hope you enjoy the pics and hopefully it wont be so long between posts this time:)

CHOO CHOO........

Last weekend in Salisbury while visiting David's family we had a great time having a early Halloween party and going to the Thomas the Train event at the train station. Parker and David's Aunt Allie and Mimi had a fun little Halloween preview party planned for them as soon as we arrived. They had candy, games, stories, and even pirate outfits to dress up!! They had a great time:)
The next day we went to see Thomas the Train. We didn't ride the train this year because the tickets are so expensive and there are so many other things to do there. The boys love seeing Thomas, climbing in the firetruck and trains, looking at the old cars and seeing Bob the Builder (David's favorite part, he LOVES Bob The Builder). We had a great time but because we had so much fun I didn't get many pictures, something I really need to remember more often. I get so caught up in the fun I forget pictures.....Here's a few, enjoy!!!!

1st day of Preschool

Ready for school.....

Love David's silly faces....

In front of his school with Nana.....

All ready to go....

Parker has officially started preschool now!!! He goes 3 days a week for a few hours. He has done so great and he LOVES it. Because of my own school schedule I am only home to take him to school on Tuesday's, but for his first week they started on Wednesday because of the holiday, so my mom took him for his first day. When they walked in he hung a little close but when she told him goodbye and that she would be back to pick him up soon, he walked over to the toys and told her bye! He was so excited that afternoon and his most favorite thing to talk about was the playground. He loves his teachers and I know the director and several teachers, so it is nice to have people looking out for him! I got to take him this tuesday and it was amazing to see how well adjusted he is already. We got to his classroom and he showed me where he puts his lunch box and bookbag and then he hugged me and went off to play. Even as I stood a few minutes talking to the teacher he kept playing and waved as I left. Every afternoon he talks a mile a minute and tells me everything. Every day they do something different (kindergym, music class, story teller) so he loves doing all these new things. I am so proud of him!
David has also enjoyed his "David" time:) The first day I think he was a little confused....at snack time he took half of his and pushed it over to Parker's seat and said that was for Parker.....but he has a great time being spoiled!!!!! It will be interesting to see how he transitions when he starts preschool next fall:)

rock wall & skateboarding......

2 weekends ago (I know I am really far behind) it was really pretty so we spent as much time as we could outside. We went to the park Saturday and had a picnic. David has now conquered climbing up almost everything and he still gets so proud of himself every time. Of course when they were climbing the rock wall they had to race to the top. Even daddy raced once!!!

racing to the top.....

Taking a break from the heat....

That night we went to Chase and Noah's house for a cookout. Parker loves their skateboards, he has been saying he wants one for a while but we didn't really think he was ready. He wasn't scared at all. Of course he wasn't up riding around by himself, so he does have to wait a little while for his own, but for now he can practice at their house:)

Chase showing off his moves...

Lessons from daddy.....

David would run up the ramp and roll his dump truck down and then run down after it. He was all over the place, Chase and Parker were trying to use the ramp with their skateboards and every time they tried to go David was already back up there....they had a lot of fun.

End of summer fun....

Swimming at Mimi's pool.....David's ear tubes FINALLY both fell out, so now at the end of summer, we can let him jump in the pool and go under:)

Parker has always been good about jumping in by himself, but now that he is so good with the swimmies on his arms, he jumps in, goes under and then swims around completely by himself. Next we will be working on him swimming with out anything on his arms. He LOVES water and is for sure not afraid!!

David became more interested in the bug drain......

ART TIME

Helping mommy and daddy with yard work.

This summer David became fascinated with bugs. There are these bugs that come out of the ground every 7 years or so and shed their skin. We had tons of them around our big willow tree. David would go around the tree with his dump truck and collect what he would call "skin of a bug"!!! He would count them as he put them in and show everyone what he found. Here he is showing one off......

Birthday Party for Uncle Jesse and PawPaw
The boys giving PawPaw their birthday present they made...
The boys with Ellie....they are so cute playing together!! Ellie is really getting so big, crawling around and pulling up.

Our last time at Carowinds for the summer with Chase, Noah, Aunt Jennifer and Uncle David.

I have been trying to get Parker on his first roller coaster all summer and David would not let me...it said it would scar him for life:) Finally this last time David agreed and Parker was so excited, especially to ride with Chase and Noah. He did great and laughed the whole time. We really enjoyed our time at Carowinds this summer and hate to see it end.
I just wanted to share a few pictures from the last few weeks. I have been so busy lately that I have not had time to post or even really take many pictures. A few months ago I was excepted into a program in a nursing school and I had my first classes this week. Everything is going great so far but I for sure will not have much time to post, so bare with me if I skip some time. Parker will be starting preschool next week so I know I will have stories and pictures to share from that. Hope everyone had a great summer!!!!

FUN FUN FUN

I have been a little behind on posting on here so these pictures are from 2 weeks ago when we took the boys to Carowinds. We decided to go on a Sunday evening when it would be a little cooler and the boys could just ride the rides. It was a lot of fun and David is really warming up to riding different things. His favorite is still the Dora Train!! I have been wanting to ride roller coasters all summer, and because David and I always have the boys and I don't want to ride alone, I never get to. Well, this time I said that no matter what, I was riding a roller coaster and I decided to ride the log ride because Parker is able to ride this one and I was hopeful he would want to!!!!! He was actually really excited and was great even waiting in line. There was one part of the ride that goes pretty fast through the water and he was laughing so loud and saying "wheeeeee". I really really enjoyed riding it with him. I was unsure of how he would do going down the big hill at the end but he did great....going up the hill I had my arms around him and he made me move my arms:) He had the biggest smile on his face!!! I cant wait until he is able to ride the other rides......I love amusement parks!

David on the Dora Train Ride, his favorite. Every time swiper pops up David says.... swiper no swiping (that is what they say on the cartoon).

Parker and momma on the log ride.....

Brothers being silly.....after a few minutes I realized they were trying to turn flips off the edge of Parker's bed!! And I just thought they were posing for a picture, yeah right:)

He has finally decided to start smiling for pictures....and I LOVE it:)

Makes my heart melt......such a sweet smile!!
